Located in the small town of Osprey, Palmer Point Beach is a long, narrow, and remote beach situated near the southern end of the city of Siesta Key. Palmer Point Beach is a part of Palmer Point Beach Park and has a small slope and a dune system filled with coastal vegetation and gopher tortoises. Palmer Point Beach is a well-known destination for boating, hiking, birdwatching, and wildlife watching. Palmer Point Beach offers very few amenities including trails and a fishing pier. There are many fun activities at Palmer Point Beach including swimming, fishing, hiking, wildlife watching, birdwatching, and beach walking. Please note that Palmer Point Beach Park remains open from 6 a.m. till sunset. Getting to Palmer Point Beach requires a little bit of work – after you get off of Midnight Pass Road, drive down to 8969 Blind Pass Road to reach a free parking lot. After parking, you will need to walk 15 minutes south to the beach.
