Beach driving is permitted at this location be sure to get your beach driving permits.
In general driving on the beach is within the State Park boundaries. Please be respectful of posted signs and remain off the sensitive dunes.

Horseback riding is allowed at Amelia Island State Park. You must have all shot records with you and a negative Coggins test certificate.

Please watch tides at this park and how it may impact horseback riding. No special decals from Nassau County are necessary at this area.

Comprising over 200 acres on the northern side of Nassau Sound, Amelia Island State Park offers up quite the fishing opportunity. Species that can be caught are whiting, speckled sea trout, jacks, flounder, redfish and tarpon.

The George Crady Fishing Bridge State Park, which is closed to vehicular traffic still spans Nassau Sound, but now offers close to a mile of space to drop or cast a line. redfish and speckled sea trout are around all year, numbers peak for these two species in the spring and fall. Sorry, no pets are allowed on the fishing bridge.

Baits that have been found to be popular include: mullet and shrimp.
