Manatee County provides some of the best recreational activities and facilities in the state with 33 parks, 12 preserves, and miles of beaches. The County also maintains 4 stand-alone tennis courts (listed under Parks), 4 dog parks, and 9 boat ramp facilities.

Sea turtle nesting season is May 1 to October 31. It is against the law to touch or disturb nesting sea turtles, hatchlings, or their nests. Help us protect these magnificent creatures.
