LOOKING FOR A SUNDAY BRUNCH SPOT IN TAMPA FLORIDA?
Visiting Tampa Florida, or in town looking for some brunch? 717 South is a great spot to visit. Sun Kind of Living found 717 South located within walking distance of historic Hyde Park Village and minutes from downtown.
BRUNCH AND BOTTOMLESS
Sun Kind of Living made a reservation for Sunday brunch around noon. 717 South in Tampa was pretty busy but we were promptly greeted and seated. We started by ordering bottomless mimosas, which were a great deal for the two-hour time limit. It was only necessary to drink two in order to get your money’s worth. The table then split the 717 poutine as a starter. It was delicious French fries covered in their house gravy with melted cheese curds. For entrees Sun Kind of Living tried a variety of menu items. The garden and goat omelet, the chicken biscuits, and pancake were all enjoyed. The omelet was light and fluffy while still filled with flavor. The chicken biscuit was delicious covered with the house gravy. Both were served with amazingly seasoned home fries. The pancake was thick, but fluffy at the same time and also extra-large.
DINNER AND DRINKS?
717 South is a contemporary restaurant with Italian and Pacific rim influences and their menu is filled with fresh, local, and sustainable ingredients. They are also well known for their dinner menu. 717 South does an amazing job of photographing a number of their menu items. While Sun Kind of Living didn’t get to stop by for dinner, the images on the menu will definitely cause us to come back.
